Alabama’s Blackbelt, with its wide range of soil types, can be a difficult area in which to create a beautiful, maintainable landscape. Thick alkaline clays with shallow sub‐surface limerock can be a nightmare to deal with if you don’t choose the right plant materials or know the proper way to prepare your planting sight. For more than 15 years, Amanda Smith has worked with municipalities and landowners on the design and maintenance of landscapes for residential and
commercial properties, as well as parks and right of ways in the Blackbelt Area. Amanda is certified by the State of Alabama in Landscape Design and Setting of Landscape Plants. She is an experienced urban forester and arborist. Amanda has worked on many projects with specialized limitations and conditions including landscaping with native plant materials, deer‐resistant landscaping and the landscaping of historic properties. She is experienced in the selection and care of trees and shrubs and how to make them work within your landscape. |
